Mitzi Chavez: Along with 13% of the rest of the population, my political ideology is considered to be a “Young Outsider.” With that in mind, my political influences come from my family and the region where I grew up, which I think has led me to become more liberal than conservative. Although I just voted for the first time this presidency, I think that voting is a good way to voice your opinion. I’m taking this class not only as a requirement, but also because I feel that I need to be more well acquainted with our government system and how it works, and that’s what I hope to get out of taking this class. I am a Tribune according to the civic literacy quiz and I am pretty caught up on current events.
